Packing for Mars
PACKING FOR MARS DVD: One Man’s Journey for the Truth. A Jacobmedia/Screen Addiction Production.
This is the latest offering from the producer–director team that brought us Solar (R)evolution (screened at the 2013 NEXUS Conference and reviewed in 20/03). They're also the filmmakers behind The Klaus Dona Chronicles (see 18/04).
Inspired by the 1970s science fiction novel Alternative 3, one man, armed with nothing but a camera and an open mind, sets forth on a journey to reveal the truth behind what may well be one of the most startling secrets: an elite group is said to be secretly building an exclusive off-world survival colony on the planet Mars. Credible individuals have begun to emerge, claiming to have been actual Mars recruits—including the great-granddaughter of an historically significant US President.
Soon we are immersed in the lives of various researchers, experts and whistleblowers who share their extraordinary experiences. These brilliant minds create a surreal picture of reality that transcends even the Mars agenda, metamorphosing into a cosmic cocktail proclaiming the wisdom of our times.
Among the many luminaries assembled by co-executive producer Frank Jacob are Andrew Basiago, Kerry Cassidy, Richard M. Dolan, Laura Eisenhower, Jose Escamilla, Dr James J. Hurtak, Dr Elizabeth Rauscher, Professor Ernst Senkowski, Bill Ryan, Luca Scantamburlo and Alfred Lambremont Webre, along with Stephen Bassett, Henry Deacon, Linda Moulton Howe, Credo Mutwa, Dr Michael E. Salla and David Wilcock.
The film explores aspects of quantum physics, time-space travel, evolutionary DNA, consciousness, top-secret space missions, breakaway civilisations, cycles of planetary precession and the multiverse. Shocking and inspiring, this is a true story of enlightenment, a journey that forces us all to rethink our reality.
While in pursuit of factual evidence, the protagonist encounters a beautiful and mysterious free spirit on the road, who joins him on the adventure. The two quickly team up and explore clandestine locations where "black op" US government programs in time travel and teleportation have supposedly taken place. Charming their way uninvited into the private spheres of strangers, they uncover bizarre stories that validate the quest.
Driven by a visionary artistic approach that blends cinematic imagery with an original hypnotic soundtrack—it's "Zeitgeist" meets "What About Me?"—the film delves deeply into the dangerous philosophical territory of what many view as today's most profound ongoing discussion: UFO disclosure.
Is there a secret agenda involving a survival colony on Mars? Is there an elite caste who has inside information regarding ancient knowledge and humankind's true origin? Is Earth on the verge of a massive shift in consciousness? The truth is stranger than fiction, just as the journey that unfolds.
